Alliance Digital Repository Resources Wiki
Welcome to the Alliance Digital Repository (ADR) Wiki!
The ADR Wiki is the main hub for participating institutions to find up-to-date information, documentation, and resources that support ADR's consortial repository service. For instance, our tutorials will guide you through the basics of creating and managing digital collections in your repository portal. Also covered are tips on customizing how your portal will look to the end user, as well as tips on how to maximize the search and discovery process and access to digital collections by applying metadata guidelines and best practices when creating object records.
The links below act as a starting point to learn more about using the Alliance Digital Repository services and managing portals to digital collections.
Digital Repository User Roles
Access management and control of digital repositories are defined by the user account types in Fez. Although there may be crossover in responsibilities depending on the workflow of individual institutions, ADR describes who does what using three distinct role types: content administrators, repository administrators, and developers.
Content Administrators Resources
If creating communities and records, managing web forms, and working with browsing and searchability of digital collections are your primary responsibilities, you are a content administrator.
Repository Administrators Resources
If managing users accounts and access controls to digital repositories, you are a repository administrator.
Software Developers Resources
If your role focuses on software development and customizations and you are looking for resources on scripts and documentation, you are a Developer.
