<p>The <a href="http://www.coalliance.org">Colorado Alliance of Research Librarie</a>s, the <a href="http://library.du.edu/site/">Penrose Library</a>, and the <a href="http://www.du.edu/education/programs/lis/">Library and Information Science Program at the University of Denver</a> are joining with <a href="http://www.lyrasis.org/">Lyrasis</a> and the <a href="&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.neh.gov/&quot;&gt;National Endowment for the Humanities&lt;/a&gt;">National Endowment for the Humanities </a>to bring this great digital preservation planning opportunity to Colorado this July!</p>
<h4>About the Workshop</h4>
<p>Deepen your digital preservation knowledge with a two-day workshop targeted toward representatives from organizations who have acquired or created digital content and are now ready to address the issue of long term access to digital collections by partnering with other organizations. These partnerships can be existing or newly forming intra- or inter-institutional collaborative efforts for digital preservation.</p>
<p>The workshop sessions will cover key digital preservation planning topics including:</p>
<ul>
<li>assessing your local situation;</li>
<li>determining your organizational, functional, and technical needs;</li>
<li>matching needs to current digital preservation solutions.</li>
</ul>
<p>The workshop helps participants develop their own digital preservation planning document, and allows time for group exercises and feedback.</p>

<p>Faculty for the Colorado workshop includes digital preservation experts <strong>Robin L. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries seeks an innovative, energetic, and engaged individual for the position of Alliance Digital Repository (ADR) Services Director.</p>
<p>The ADR Services Director oversees the administration, development and implementation of consortial digital repository services at the Alliance. This position plays a key role in the continuing development and operation of a shared Fedora Commons/Islandora installation which provides the foundation for Alliance members’ and affiliates’ institutional digital repository initiatives. This position directs budget and resource allocations, including oversight of hardware and infrastructure procurement, software development, recruitment and management of personnel, contractor and vendor relations, collaborative communications, and member support services.
